DRYER TROUBLESHOOTING

Dryer drum does not turn

Make sure you check the circuit breakers in the house breaker box. Reset if necessary
Drum belt stretched or broke.
Check for burnt wires at term. block.

No heat

Make sure there is 240v at dryer outlet.
Motor must run for element to come on.
Make sure temp switch is not set to air fluff.
Defective thermostat.
Burnt element.
Check for burnt wires at term. block.

Long dry time

Make sure dryer vent is not obstructed with lint.
Burnt out element.

Noisy

Defective drum glides.
Defective drum rollers(Inglis,kenmore,Whirlpool only)
Defective motor.
Broken blower wheel.
Defective Rear drum bearing.
